Why not contact Zain and ask them? Are 908 and 909 message centres? They
have been using the Zain network so they should know who they are and be
able to stop sending spam to you.
I sent Zain an e-mail to ask them to stop sending any kind of spam to my
friends phone yesterday but they didn't respond yet. I also contacted
MTN to ask them to stop any spam message to my MTN phone. They said they
will tell the message centre to take out my number of their list. I've
done this before and it works most of the times for some few months.
It's a pity there is no "Don't call me" register in Uganda.

my zain line is being s p a m m e d by 908& 909 (100+ sms in
last 10 min) It's always the same msg:
"Volume limit is over, please call customer care"
Anyone (VAS devs perhaps) could be knowing what's going on, at least for
starters who has short code 908 / 909?
Hmmm, tried digging around but couldn't get any information that may
be of help. But i guess you can start by checking the owner of the
short code from UCC.

Just asking, have you registered for some service (lets say VoIP) with
your contact number being your spammed line???
