The modem shd be detected automatically & connection initiated, unlike UB 9.04 and before where you had to hack the modem driver & startup config.
I noticed that sometimes the modem will get detected, a dhcp ip will be granted, but without DNS servers; impeding Internet access. (A quick unplug & reconnection always does the trick :) ).
PS: If the above fails, I could append the 'manual' connection setup instructions.
