Hi Cavin, I think one of the big disadvantages of Uganda (have not been to your mentioned countries, so can not be a hundred per cent sure) is the infrastructure.
Take the roads (that are not there and if they are, there is jam), the Internet infrastructure (as soon, as you leave Kampala you are lucky if you have a GPRS-signal) and so on.
