Hi Reinier, Simon,

It seems that UTL has gone back to satellite, there was a fiber optic
connection over the weekend. However the routes for Google and Yahoo are
entirely different, see path below:

Hi Reinier,Simon,

Thanks for inquiring about us. For one, I am still alive and so far I have
not heard if anyone I know was killed or lost a loved one.

I still have a working connection on UTL. I can't tell whether the cable is
up or down but my mtr google.com a maximum of 55% loss. For me that is
normal.

However below is what infocom has sent to their customers.

                " Dear Client,

On behalf of Infocom we would like to offer our sincere
condolences to the families of all those who lost their
loved ones during last nights deplorable bomb blasts at
Kyadondo Rugby Club and Ethiopian Village Restaurant.

Unfortunately, the bomb blast has also damaged the fiber
cable that connects all operators to the optical subsea
cable network causing downtimes and significant
degradation to international connectivity. We kindly ask
you to bear with us since we are currently running on
                our satellite backup connection.

There is no estimated time of recovery since the area
has been sealed off by the police for security reasons
                as they carry out investigations.

We will keep you updated on the progress of the work to
                be done.

                Sincerely,
                Customer Care Department
                Infocom Ltd "

                Chris
