Hi,

Could do. We could also try to start updating our DNS records so we have valid
entries for all our IP-address-holding devices.

here is the spamreport:
X-Spam-Report:
        * 1.2 SPF_NEUTRAL SPF: sender does not match SPF record (neutral)
        * 2.0 SPF_HELO_NEUTRAL SPF: HELO does not match SPF record (neutral)
        *  1.8 MIME_QP_LONG_LINE RAW: Quoted-printable line longer than 76 chars
        * 0.1 RDNS_NONE Delivered to trusted network by a host with no rDNS

And here is the relevant info:

Received: from gmail.com ([41.190.128.28]) by ipcop (Copfilter 0.84beta4)
X-Filtered-With: Copfilter Version 0.84beta4 (ProxSMTP 1.8)
Received: from orion.kym.net ([41.222.0.195])
by mx1-svr-celtel.imul.com with esmtp (Exim 4.69)
        (envelope-from <[email protected]>)
        id 1Obp3z-0007Gt-4I; Thu, 22 Jul 2010 09:16:31 +0300

Here is the reverse record for gmail.com (41.190.128.28)

I guess if that was neatly fixed, my spamfilter would be much happier. Anyone
here on the list have access to those DNS settings?

In general, tracerouting and mtr'ing through uganda is an (almost) totally
numeric experience. Once you leave Uganda, every single device has a name.

I guess there is a reason why the rest of the world uses names. If I remember
correctly, someone posted the RFC that is that reason about 3 years back. It
says, every device should have a name, too.

I know it would make it much easier to find issues. Not just for external
people, but also if you try to debug your own network from the inside.

(BTW, traceroute from an Orange dongle is the weirdest. There is not 1 single
IP address that you can traceroute from these things. Very unfortunate if you
want to see if your link is not working, or that the uixp is down, or that you
just lost IP in your office. (to give a real world sample))
