Firstly

what is the user expecting of the machine

Is it only to be a router and firewall?, is it to be a desktop? is it to
be a server?

If a desktop ... what apps are they expecting (Word processing?, spread
sheets?, email only? yintanet?)

If router & firewall ... are they also expecting proxy?

If server ... are they expecting samba etc?

Hello guys,

Hope all is well,

Someone please recommend a linux flavor, for a Intel Pentium III,
600MHZ, running 128MB RAM. A client is so adamant at upgrading his
machine; while on the other hand I am fed up of being called up with
system crushes and virus attacks.

I shall appreciate all the help given.

Thanks
