Reinier, my statement was tongue in cheek,
You can develop public sites in Share point, and i have done a couple of them, and seen very many. You dont even need sharepoint 2010, earlier versions work fine, _____________________________________________________________ My oh My, how lazy can you be: 1000 jobs for sharepointhttp://jobsearch.monster.com/PowerSearch.aspx?q=sharepoint&rad=20&rad_units=miles&tm=60&dv= (i thought sharepoint was more like intranet/document management software to share documents, like knowledgetree or nuxeo, or drupal based, openatrium. Not sure I have seen a lot of public sharepoint sites. So mentioning them in comparison with drupal/wp/joommla is like saying: eh, lots of oracle people in demand as well.) (and yes, i read the homepage http://sharepoint.microsoft.com/en- us/Pages/default.aspx "Microsoft SharePoint 2010 makes it easier for people to work together. Using SharePoint 2010, your people can set up Web sites to share information with others, manage documents from start to finish, and publish reports to help everyone make better decisions." which is not something the other 3 do as their main goal.
