Hi guys, just a heads up as I ran into this about 30 minutes ago.
While running "apt-get update" on Ubuntu 10.4 LTS (Lucid) ............................................................................ W: A error occurred during the signature verification. The repository is not updated and the previous index files will be used.GPG error: http://debian lucid-updates Release: The following signatures were invalid: BADSIG 40976EAF437D05B5 Ubuntu Archive Automatic Signing Key <[email protected]> W: Failed to fetch http://debian/apt-cacher/ug.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/lucid-updates/Release W: Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead. According to a 5 year old post at http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-75813.html the sources list file needs to be edited and all the "ug.archive" instances need to lose the "ug." part After that, problem's solved, cheers, Benjamin M Wakhweya
