Mugisha,

i have to agree with you, Yahoo used to be a dominant force, am not sure
anymore,
the concept of too big to fail no longer applies in today's recession prone
global economy (Ask AOL - they used to be the biggest ISP, but .... )

if you look at the financial records of yahoo, you will see some disturbing
details, and am no financial expert, i dont even want to point to yahoo
shares which trade at $16, in comparison with google's at $ 616

yahoo's new feature (social media integration) is something that can excite
many people, certainly not me.

Yahoo's intentions are good but skewed, placing a captcha before i send an
email, this is not only an unnecessary irritant, but a sheer lack of
creativity at solving a basic problem. The captcha is shrouded in unclear
colors, and how would a person above 70 years, read those letters, or some
one with poor eye sight. You can point to an audio option, what about
someone with a hearing disability. This is a dumb inconvenience, and i dont
see how it fights spam, maybe am missing something here.

i would have said go and implement a better service but i take that back...
yahoo really revolutionized the email arena. give credit where credit is
due....and it is still a very innovative comapny even better than google (in
case you call acquisitions part of Research and development)

call it dumb but it saves you alot... some times in gmail you accidentally
send .... and voilaa its gone... the captcha saves you from the stupid gmail
shortcuts ...
