Hey all,

I'm would like to implement an open-source Point-Of-Sale (POS) system but don't
have much experience with POS hardware/software. Accordingly, I have a few
questions:

1) We have a Linux-compatible barcode scanner but need to purchase a
cash-drawer and receipt printer. Does anyone know of any such hardware which
plays well with Linux? Locally available hardware is obviously preferred.

2) Does anyone know of any existing open-source POS installations which I can
go have a look at?

3) Does anyone recommend any particular POS software and, if so, why?

4) All other comments/advice welcome.

Thanks,
Kyle Spencer
