They want to start selling transit, they announced this at the African
Peering Forum.  I think their IP infra is ready, just don't know if
they have any customers on it yet!

It seems they own the infra, and have outsourced the managemnet to
TATA IIRC.  This allowed TATA to build PoPs in EA cheaply.  This means
there is now a tier 1 provider selling transit to ISPs in Africa that
they don't have to go to Europe or the USA to pick up!! That in itself
is revolutionary, and something we have been waiting for for over a
decade.
