As far as I know most major distributions have committed to using LibreOffice instead of OpenOffice going forward. Certainly Ubuntu and Redhat have. What I am hoping is that now it is free from entanglement with Oracle/Sun development of LO will speed up and maybe even surpass Office. I would also love if they could also remove their dependency on Java just to be safe.
