Lug, Kiggs usually gets stick for managing the LUG list, right now I-network with 1,000 times more resources than Kiggs is down, however you can access the threads online through http://dgroups.org/Discussions.aspx?c=641a4329-fd6f-4f6f-a1de-9b208975fbbb you can argue that I-network has more members, so the scale is different, but i wont buy that, _______________________________________________________ Dear i-networkers,
a note about recent email troubles on this mailing list. Your current problems stem from the fact that Dgroups traffic has gone up significantly in the past few months, which in turn overloaded our servers and is manifesting itself on larger and more popular groups like I-Network. Adding to that, we did get caught by the raise in Dgroups' popularity and have not anticipated the impact of the increase of traffic this early in the year. Our plan was to introduce new email hardware and software after the deployment of new web site design (whose progress you can preview at http://next.dgroups.org/login, or here: http://vimeo.com/17291959), sometime in the next few months. With these problems affecting your discussions, we've changed our timing and are now working full time on introducing improved email communication before anything else. I expect your problems to ease and possibly fully go away by the end of the week after next. As a longer term solution to ensure trouble-free discussions for your group, we've already ordered new, more powerful hardware, and - as mentioned - have also attacked this problem in software. The plan is also to introduce more self-service options to allow you all to check the delivery status of all incoming and outgoing messages on this and other lists. I'll inform you through the list once the improvements are in production. Thank you for your patience, and best regards Damir Dgroups Development/Support/Hosting/Maintenance -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.
