10.04 is quite complete question is is the windows partition tht has
the Windows folder still on your machine??? u need to verify that
John. If you deleted the partition....sudo update-grub wont help. Not
in a million years i tell u. Otherwise this page will give you all the
help u need. Choose Grub 2 its the version on 10.04. Good luck.
