---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: ISOC Chapter Support <[email protected]> Date: Wed, Feb 23, 2011 at 10:44 AM Subject: Invitation to rejuvenate the Internet Society Uganda Chapter To: [email protected] [image: ISOC Logo] Dear Daniel, As you may know, the Internet Society Uganda Chapter is currently in the process of rejuvenation. This email is an invitation for "Expressions of Interest" to see if you would like to help reinvigorate the Internet Society Chapter in Uganda. You can read more about Internet Society Chapters at: http://www.isoc.org/isoc/chapters/ Those interested should be able to spend some time working to help shape a future Internet Society Chapter in Uganda. The Chapter formation or rejuvenation process is a bottom up process, so we rely on interested volunteers to take it forward. But we will also be there to help you in this process. It does indeed take time and effort to run a successful Chapter and a strong team is therefore needed, composed of individuals from different stakeholder organizations. Experience has also shown us that a successful rejuvenation process is, among other things, characterized by a new leadership team, even though everyone is invited to take part in helping to shape the Chapter. This "Expressions of Interest" email has been sent to all Internet Society members in Uganda. Please feel free to forward this message to other people you think might be interested in participating in this process. The rejuvenation process is open to all stakeholders. If you are interested in becoming an active part of shaping the new Internet Society Uganda Chapter with real action and time as a volunteer, then you are invited to contact us at < [email protected] > before 15 March 2011. The local group who currently works on rejuvenating this Chapter will inform you of the next steps in the rejuvenation process once we know how many of you would be interested in participating in it. Best regards, Christine Saegesser Baethge, Manager, Chapters and Individual Members ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Internet Society (ISOC) Website: www.InternetSociety.org Member Challenge: www.isoc.org/memberchallenge ---------------------------------------------------------------------- -- /Daniel
