Hi everyone, Just a reminder, February's Uganda Linux User Group event is today, 2pm, at IHSU (IHK top floor). Here's the rub:
1) Our venue, IHSU, is a completely open-source powered university. Their ICT systems include Moodle, Koha, Squid, Apache, Ubuntu desktop, and more. http://ihsu.ac.ug 2) Simon Vass and Reinier Battenberg will talk about the open-source technologies behind UgandaWatch2011 such as Drupal, GeoServer, BIND, Apache, cloud-computing, and more. http://ugandawatch2011.org 3) Malcolm from the Ruby Nuby project will give a brief talk on his program and what they hope to offer the UG tech scene. http://rubynuby.net/ 4) Brian Ssenoga from IHSU will talk about IHSU's ICT systems and answer any questions you might have about how to run a university on open-source software. He will also lead us on a brief tour of the IHSU facilities. As usual there will also be lots of cool people and witty banter ;o The full event details and a map to the venue can be found on our website: http://linux.or.ug Look forward to seeing you all there!
