Paul,
I'm not exactly what U'd call an M$ fan boy, but I'd like to highlight the fact
that M$ has shares in multiple companies (including facebook) which they have
not taken over / swallowed. An enterprise reaches a point where it can no
longer effectively integrate (swallow) more... Many of these purchases are
strategic (guarantee market 4 their software...)
I do believe that in the case of Nokia, the worst they'll do is force WP7 down
the finnish throats.
MeeGo may (read 'will') follow Symbian (acquired by Accenture) out of direct
support by Nokia.
It'd be in their best interest not to stifle recognized ('growing') brands.
(Fingers crossed!)
Francis.

Indeed, but then you have to keep in mind that M$ is taking over, which means
Nokia's support for the N9's Meego platform will be truly world class.
