Hi all, I've found a workaround for MTN's network stability issues. In short: force your phone/modem into 2G/GSM/GPRS mode.
This slows down the data connection but avoids the insane stability problems on their 3G network. On my Nokia N900 this was as simple as downloading the "2G/3G/Dual Mode Selection Applet" and selecting "GSM" in the drop-down system titlebar menu. YMMV. Good luck :) Regards, Kyle Spencer _______________________________________________ The Uganda Linux User Group: http://linux.or.ug Send messages to this mailing list by addressing e-mails to: [email protected] Mailing list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Mailing list settings: http://kym.net/mailman/listinfo/lug To unsubscribe: http://kym.net/mailman/options/lug The Uganda LUG mailing list is generously hosted by INFOCOM: http://www.infocom.co.ug/ The above comments and data are owned by whoever posted them (including attachments if any).
