According to this logic it would be unfair of Tim to offer an ERP system for free, whereas Oracle charges an arm & a leg for JDEdwards/Siebel because Tim has a dominance in the WebERP services market.
The whole point of FLOSS is that, once the software has been written and paid for, you can not charge for that same effort again. (Which license fees do). So, once the Google engineer get his salary paid (by some little part of the add money), Google just goes out and gives away Android for nothing and allows others to make changes to the original work.
