Hello, Does your heart beat for new IT solutions and ideas?
We are happy to announce that the famous “sleepless hacking” and boot-camp weekend Garage48 (www.garage48.org <http://garage48.org/>) will take place in Kampala on 23rd to 25th September 2011. Garage48 events have been proven successful in Europe (Estonia, Finland, Latvia) and Africa (Ghana, Nigeria ) so far, now we are coming to Kampala to connect startup & tech community. Garage48 is an event for brave and active startup minded people who want to develop their new idea into a product (or working prototype) in the course of one weekend. We are skipping paperwork, spreadsheets and we're going back to the roots of tech projects for building the prototypes in good old "garage". Mentors and Garage48 organizers arrive directly from Silicon Valley. Sponsors Google and Nokia provide mentors and jury members. Garage48 invites 100 participants with various roles: - Visionary entrepreneurs and project managers - Graphic Designers & UX gurus and Web Front-end Developers (HTML/CSS/JS) - Backend Developers (PHP, Ruby, Java etc) amd Mobile Application Developers (iPhone, Android, JME9) - Marketing Wizards If you want to try out your skills and see how ideas can become reality within 48 hours, then sign up for the event at http://garage48.org/kampala/registration <http://garage48.org/> <http://garage48.org/> Garage48 is not a search for a million dollar idea, but a crazy weekend project that needs “just do it” attitude and 48 hours of commitment. The results are much more real than a business plan on paper - they are working products and services.
