Greetings,

Its been an interesting few months since COSS has been in action.

15 students came to us for Linux related training, here are the results:
0 - passed LPI 102 (International Certificate) - ouch, but we know why.
1 - dropped out
1 - said they would not recommend our training
2 - didn't pass the certification requirement
2 - passed LPI 101 (International Certificate)
7 - said the quality of training was either Good or Very Good
9 - got certified for Systems Administration
13 - said they would recommend our training
All (but 1) - said they learned something new and
Almost ALL said our training materials and style was perfect for the study.

We are very excited! There have been so many positives and we have learned a
few lessons, but most of all, we are excited that for the first time in
Uganda, LPI Certification is going to be a regular feature. Now you can
study and sit an LPI Exam every single month! Visit http://coss.ug and click
on Training for details.

And we are intent on making money the least determining factor - so you can
sit for LPI and if you cant raise the fees, you can instead sit for our
Local certification.

We are also considering partnering with LPI International, to help with an
exciting new course - LPI for beginners. We will keep u posted.

As 2012 approaches - we are asking:
a) If you are an employer who desires staff with Linux Skill - what do you
insist they should know?
b) If you have staff who run/administrate Linux Systems, are they certified?
c) Would you be willing to take on our trainees for Industrial placement?
We are looking to train, so they can find the job - and you can have the
skill set you need.
d) We are looking to improve our trainer base - are you the trainer we need?
