Hi Brian,

Well you know most open source projects are done because the
developers just enjoy writing the code, obviously it's nice if people
use it, but that is rarely the prime motivator. Indeed I remember a
young man from Finland saying that he was going to write an operating
system, but that he wasn't going to create a professional system, it
was "just for fun" and to help him understand his PC. I believe it
became very popular, but that wasn't his prime motivator.
