Hi Shannon, In reply to your mail:
"Morning every one, I am kind of new to linux but needed a bit of your help, any one who has ever setup and configured the DHCP on the open suse samba server, kindly help me with a clear manual on how to go about it. thank you. have a lovely week" # In general, finding a manual is something you would normally do using Google. There are indeed a few thousand people that have experience in the setup you are interested in, and there is a good chance someone already wrote a manual. Googling for "TechnologyABC Manual" or "TechnologyXYZ tutorial" will generate a pretty thourough list. # Once you get stuck while following a manual, read this page http://linux.or.ug/content/431-how-ask-question-mailinglist follow the advise, and by all means, post again. # In this particular case, there is a product called www.zentyal.org that configures all of this for you (and much much more), which saves you a lot of hassle. Just download the CD, install, and you are good to go. # The enter key is there for a reason. Its absolutely ok to use it from time to time. -- rgds, Reinier Battenberg Director Mountbatten Ltd. +256 758 801 749 www.mountbatten.net http://twitter.com/batje http://twitter.com/mapuganda _______________________________________________ The Uganda Linux User Group: http://linux.or.ug Send messages to this mailing list by addressing e-mails to: [email protected] Mailing list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Mailing list settings: http://kym.net/mailman/listinfo/lug To unsubscribe: http://kym.net/mailman/options/lug The Uganda LUG mailing list is generously hosted by INFOCOM: http://www.infocom.co.ug/ The above comments and data are owned by whoever posted them (including attachments if any).
