Striving for the cheapest low power hardware/PC seems to be a common
goal. Anyone heard of Raspberry Pi?
"An ARM GNU/Linux box for $25."
http://www.raspberrypi.org/?page_id=8

a few interesting things:

  * 25$ and 35$ version
  * could run of 4xAA cells, consumption at 1W
  * Runs linux (Debian, Fedora, ArchLinux)
  * got audio 3.5mm jack and HDMI/DVI/TV connector
  * ... check the page yourself

Only problem, not yet release but maybe available by the end of this year.

Cheers,
Rocco
