I had the first nook color when it came out. What a gr8 device it was. A little underpowered at the time with an 800Mhz processor that i overclocked to 1.2 GHz but this new one makes up for that.
It was great not only as a reader, but as a general tablet. It is super easy to mod and hack any number of android flavors such as cyanogen. And it also has a unique mechanism making it impossible to brick the device. basically 8 failed boots in a row and device reverts back to factory without erasing your SD card.
