Allow me to share a few idle thoughts that mesmerized me in the holy year
of 2011
1. Cloud Computing ( It failed to live the hype), however it has promise
2. iphone (4x - remember i dont care what the last letter is), - Apart from
Siri, who is fake, (I dont want to state any french terms here)
3, Ipad 2 (sleek and with a good feel, unfortunately the next point will
demonstrate why its a nice gadget for reading email, and nothing more)
4. Nook (you can upgrade its memory, and i have forgotten what else it can
do)
5. Social Media (The launch of google + met less fanfare than some
enthusiasts had predicted, nevertheless social media has proved to be vital
in removing dictatorships, but .... removing them is just 1 aspect
as Egyptians have come to learn)
6. Banning social media tools was no longer an honor reserved to likes of
the Mubarak's and Gaddaffi's of this world (Read London Riots, New York
Transit police)
7. Android (So much promise, so little rewards, its like that lottery
ticket with the first 4 number's counting, but the final digit goes awry)
8. Drupal 8 ( Yes with the success of Drupal 7, I wondered why Drupal 8 was
introduced so early, only to discover the several flaws in Drupal 7)
9. Gaming ( Gaming hit real big, with Angry Birds leading the pack,
unfortunately i believe Games are for Kids, so i cant objectively evaluate
them)
10. Fake Ads ( Read Freebies) - Social Anthropologists introduced gimmicks
that remind me of the Gambino Family (Mafioso), get free airtime, free sms
alerts, only to discover their real intent wasnt to give you freebies, but
to rob of you of your hard earned change, some took it a step further, like
this game where a kid (could be an adult) looks after fish, and the game is
free, until the fish die, then the next thing, your account is ripped off
(To their defence its free), well These goons know very well, nothing is
free, but they will stop at no act to hood wink you at buying their
gibberish services/products for free
Usually I stop at 10, but who am I not throw in 1 freebie

11. Fake Adverts ( I have nothing against fake Ads), but keep them to the
ruscals, and the Onion, the painful thing for me is to see Big Companies,
raking in blood money from these fake numscals (open CNN.com and if u dont
find any fake advert, I ll gladly part with $10,000 cash)
