The problem with this tech is that it is easily defeated by a life-size colour print of the person whose account you are hacking and that it really wasn't ready for the darker skinned people (AfriCANs). I use a form of it on my laptop but that is on windows. It was really cool in the banking environment when my machine logged me in just cause I was nearby.
Another bug was that the camera was always (or had to be) on all the time meaning that I could come in over the network and if I knew my stuffs, I could subvert it's use for my purposes. It is a tricky tech which if you took away from security has interesting applications like image based face search.
