I don't think you lose anything. Think about it: How many times do you
register with websites? Have you ever bothered to read the terms and
conditions and privacy statements which appear at the bottom as a tiny link
before you do? I am not trying to scare you, but just to put things into
perspective. If you are worried about your privacy being breeched by the
telecos registering you, then you should have been worried a long time ago!
But I honestly don't think there is anything to be worried about. It is
just a legitimate procedure and legal requirement of any GSM/CDMA/UMTS etc
service provider.
