In addition to this; 1. I would forward all traffic on my LAN on port 25 to be handled by my mailserver. 2. Install an anti virus like Clam AV and with it scan all mail traffic that goes through my system and configure regular updates i.e once or more times a day depending on server load . 3. Have my MTA use public blacklist providers to prevent blacklisted sites from sending infected content to my server that may be skipped by the antivirus.
