Certainly off-topic, but it's always been interesting how American sports have always referenced being worldly, but really aren't. The baseball world series are not really worldly, although the Japanese have an active league. The NFL has started to gain ground internationally, perhaps even more so than baseball, but it's not at the level other sports have infiltrated all corners of the globe (amazingly, excluding North America), e.g., Formula 1, Soccer, Cricket, e.t.c. Perhaps the NBA is one of the most famous American athletic sport out of the U.S., although unlike basketball, baseball has its roots in "rounders" which was a game developed in England. Mark.
