the first line of http://events.mountbatten.net reads
"On February 24, 2012 we're joining forces with our friends at Bantalabs (Senegal) for a full day of professional Drupal training." You need to fill in the form at the bottom of that page in order to attend, we only have room for 20 people in Kampala. If you make sure you have a LAMP or WAMP environment running on your machine, we can surely help you get drupal running during the coffee break. This used to be the one I used when I ran winblows 100 years ago: http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html its 1 download that installs all the software you need to run Drupal If you want to be a pro (and who doesnt), you should install drush too. Instructions for Linux & Windows install are here http://drupal.org/project/drush ( i have never run drush on windows, so if you have questions abou that, look through the issue queue and then ask http://drupal.org/project/issues/drush?text=&status=Open&priorities=All&categories=All&version=All&component=Windows+Installer And if you cant keep yourself, and want to play today, you can always use http://drupalgardens.com/ and get a drupal site running in minutes. rgds, reinier On Friday 17 February 2012 10:59:44 Sam Agona wrote: > Nice idea and if we could also establish the date. > > > On Fri, Feb 17, 2012 at 10:53 AM, DESANTOES ISAAC PAUL < > > [email protected]> wrote: > > thanks pliz and also is it fine if we came with our laptops then u > > install for us drupal in our laptops > > > > On 2/16/12, [email protected] <[email protected]> wrote: > > > I will be part. > > > > > > Kind regards > > > Sent from my BlackBerry® smartphone provided by Airtel Uganda. > > > > > > -----Original Message----- > > > From: Reinier Battenberg <[email protected]> > > > Sender: [email protected]: Thu, 16 Feb 2012 18:47:50 > > > To: Uganda Linux User Group<[email protected]> > > > Reply-To: Uganda Linux User Group <[email protected]> > > > Subject: Re: [LUG] Drupal in a Day Training > > > > > > Hi, > > > > > > We might cover theming in a later event.
