Hi,
I have some wifi equipment in my car which I want to sponsor.
- There is a powerstation 2. Issue is, a wrong voltage input on
the PoE line has blown something. I used another PoE kit which
turned out to induce 48V instead of 12V. If someone can fix it,
then ok. Problem is, there is no power conversion on the board
itself and its one single board, already looked at it.
- A Nanostation 2.
- different types of antennas, a Yagi, an omni directional fibre
glass, and a CNET directional.
All equipment for outdoor use.
Who is taking lead on the project? Where can I hand over the
things above?
Also, I spoke to Peter Atkins from CFTS, having roof access to
their building at Kira road right next to Bukoto Street. They have
some stuff floating around he is willing to sponsor. Although, he
is not on the list here so someone might need to summarise the
cause, intention and benefits of the project and send it to him.
Thanks,
Rocco

Morning LUG-gers,
Please note I altered the subject from "New Mirror".
A couple of US$ are in Kampala with my name to this cause, and
only awaiting whom they should be handed to.
Made a call to Gizmo (details in email below) on NanoStations and
he told me they are out of stock now (will be restocking soon).
Cost range for each is between US$80 to US$90.
Which way forward?

Thanks for
the info, Simon.
I must have some shillings in Kampala soon for the "pool"
although we have no one to act as our bank.
Read somewhere about a local source for Ubiquiti's
NanoStations M2 on +256792772416 (Gizmo Brew?!).
Such outdoor stuff could do us much good, and as comparison
when that vendor shows on Monday.

Ok, gang here is some new straight off the wire, on
Monday someone will be bringing to sell Wireless kit.
I am not sure of prices but if your serious about
getting this off the ground there is a possibility to
pick up some cheap kit already in country.
Once I know prices will let you know.
