@Figured it might be of use.
:)Yes it has to be of use, am sure none on this community would post
anything useless

However, I think you should be more familiar with the book; reason i
suggest that since the terms in the chapters of the book are not new to
any in the community, then relevant to this project, you could do a
milestone as you reference the chapters in the book.

For example if its to do with OSI layer one design, then you could guide
the community to reference the book, and come up with a design (of course
so many recommendations and questions will come up before we proceed to
the next phase, but that's part of any undertaking)

:) Up until layers 1 or 2 or 3 or etc are done, with you guiding the
community again and again to reference the relevant chapters of your book
so we come up with a design.

One of the design issues i see in layer 3 is do with handling both
migratory hosts (ones that just move into the area or cell and have to be
configured for access, then they leave) and roaming or mobile hosts (ones
that require connectivity while on the move presenting issues like hand
off and foreign-agents/home-agents for tunneling their messages).
I have seen according to the book the dominant layer 3 protocol is OLSR,
so i hope it addresses those issues seamlessly.

The other issue has to do with the practical reliability (error correction
algorithms, Quality of service, security, etc) of 802.11 devices for long
distance hauls or even something close to commercial practicality as this
one where may be 802.16 with a community license (that is if it exists)
could do better. Any white papers or citations would help.

Thanks.
