Hi,

Looking through these slides I am surprised to see that virtually
nothing has changed since we first offered these courses in Uganda
(Uganda Martyrs University and EACOSS) now 10 year ago.

I get the impression that we fail making Linux for accessible to lay
people and beginners. That is where windows and OSx beat us. For most
of the commands are excellent tools but they are not mentioned. I
believe that we need to teach tools first and move to advanced command
line later. This hopefully takes away the impression that Linux is
difficult and for Geeks and the command line is the Linux interface.

Unsolicited remarks, but this just came to my mind looking at these slides.

Victor
