That is indeed more elegant but goes beyond the goal of this project and
maybe also beyond the skills of the developers.

The goal is make statistics simple and create nice-looking output. This
works well, but as the projects is still developing the issue of the output
is pending. For that we need a quick solution. A WYSIWYG Html editor
provides this.

I will however forward you suggestion to the developers if you do not mind.
