This is such a fundamental library in the system, it's going to be a little tricky getting things to work. One idea, assuming your disk isn't dead:
- Boot off the same CD you used to install the system. Live CD boot. - mount the root partition of your system and do a full repair using fsck (man page). - The CD you just booted off will have the same libc*.so in /lib (or /lib64 if you are using a 64-bit distro). Copy it over to the mounted partition. Unmount, sync. Reboot from hard drive. If you are lucky, all will be well. Good luck. P.
