Apple doesn't give a damn = not true. Apple is open source = not true. Google doesn't give a damn = not true. Google is open source = true (on paper)
It's not about fanboy-ism. I think I have shown with plenty of posts to be a avid fan of both. But bashing for the sake of bashing leads to FOSS going no where fast. A coupe of weeks ago a poster asked for help with an OS solution for his job. Instead the thread turned to bashing his employer over using xp workstations. He will never return. Victors post immediately trumpets openstreetmap. Then next post may have pointed out mapquest for IOS uses openstreetmap and is a viable option. That would be a score for FOSS.
