It's about time! Passworded pre-shared keys has been the preferred way (security-wise) to authenticate for over a decade now, the only and decisive drawback being the fact that you need an actual physical key, with all the logistic and technical problems entailed therein. I hope Google makes an affordable, standardised, and open solution to this problem.
