REQUEST OF EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
REGIONAL IXPS AND REGIONAL INTERNET CARRIERS-BEST PRACTICES AND BENEFITS
WORKSHOPS

1. The African Union Commission (the Commission) has received funding from
the Luxembourg Agency for Development Cooperation on the implementation of the
African Internet Exchange System Project. The Commission would like to apply a
portion of the funds for Capacity Building Workshops on Best Practices and
Benefits for setting up Regional Internet Exchange Points (RIXP) and Regional
Internet Carriers (RICS).
2. The Commission now invites qualified and eligible firms / institutions
to submit EOIs for the assignment. The entity is expected to organise and
conduct the workshops in 5 AU Geographical Regions.
3. Bidders interested in the tender are requested to submit their EOIs in
sealed envelopes and marked with the EOI Reference, at the address and on or
before the deadline given below.
4. The EOI must include the following information:
a. General Profile and background of the firm
b. Certificate of Incorporation / Trade Licences / Registration Certificate
c. Contact details (Physical address, Phone number, fax number, email
address)
d. Demonstration of experience in successful provision of similar services
in the last five years.
e. Audited Financial Statements for the last 3 years
f. At Least 3 contactable references.
5 Interested firms are required to submit one (1) original and three (3)
copies of the Expression of Interest clearly marked as original and copies.
7. Interested firms may obtain further information from Aleck Munhamo,

6. Expressions of Interest in sealed envelopes and CLEARLY marked
“06/IED/13: Expression of Interest for Consultancy Services to Conduct
Workshops on Regional IXPS and Regional Internet Carriers-Best Practices and
Benefits” should be addressed to:

solicitation, only firms deemed qualified upon completion of an evaluation of
their Expressions of Interest, will receive the Request for Proposal document.
