Markus, This is why it cant work in our hospital setting.
1) We have a population database system for our catchment area, with all the demographic information already captured. Through the use of this database, weve been able to implement a health insurance scheme for our catchment area. The challenge here is incorporating this system into GNU Health. 2) Second, the ICD-10 list, is much more comprehensive and most of our health Practitioners are much more familiar with the Ugandan standard (UCG 2010). 3) We also have other care clinics like chronic care, HIV care, these functionalities are not incorporated into the GNU Health.
