Joanna, The first server the network, a zentyal 2.2 also had mrtg automatically taking that port, removed the mrtg but still the zentyal admin shows mrtg. I concern is, this new box you have built, is it also connected to the same LAN? If so, If you havent manually installed mrtg on it, then I suspect an device on that LAN using that port for mrtg, but the weird part is the other box initially having mrtg is on different IP from your new box?
Can you check whether your network has another machine causing this! Jemba E. S.
