Well, technically the question could be interpreted as a network administrator wanting to "combat" this worm by having it scanned and stopped at the Linux-driven gateway/proxy/mailserver.
If this is the case, I'd suggest that the OP look into ClamAV. If this isn't the case, though... then yeah, thread should be ended.
