I have been playing with the idea of setting up an informal tech group for lack of a better name for some time now.
Basically this would a place for people not only to read and learn but also practice what they learn, this would encompass everything IT from Linux, Windows, Hardware, Software and really whatever takes our fancy no limits. Because of the nature and the resources required we will only be able to start with a handful of people. We have the majority of materials and equipment while not extensive should be adequate also hoping to get a reasonable addition to our book collection shortly. So now I am looking for a handful of people to start with, Let me be upfront I'm not looking for time wasters this will take a reasonable amount of resources both in equipment and my time so please only people with a burning desire to go beyond the simple logic and step into the creative result orientated realm of IT, there will be a vetting process. Ideally candidates should have a basic appreciation of IT as a whole understand English well and not be easily offended I'm quite blunt other than that doors wide open. I am open to any ideas that may add value to this endeavor. I am also looking for anyone that may be able to contribute to this knowledge wise, I.T. is a massive field. Time scales are currently unknown as it depends depends on several variables outside my direct control but looking at circa 3-4 months for this project to kick off.
