Despite being an early adopter of pgp, I have failed to re-integrate it into my outlook email due to Microsoft making it almost incompatible. I am mystified that google chat is not secure and that email hosts do not offer ONLY secure channels. Users also need to be taught about the downside to whole disk encryption and how to protect against turning entire drives into bricks.
