We're handling it to the best of our capabilities without straying outside the scope of this group. One asked for the firewall specs; one looks for network errors at the metric level (where the problem would be largely OS-independent); two reflects on the fact that many people (including Microsoft itself) gave up on ISA a long time ago; one person suggests that a Microsoft-specific problem might be more successfully answered in a group thus geared. So far, I see nothing you could complain about. If one asks about the solution to a tricky MS problem in an LUG, the answers will tend to stray towards "get rid of MS", because that solution worked for many of us. Besides, an LUG is a special-interest group, not a maid service. We're all doing this because it interests and moves us, not because we are being paid for answering people's questions. Even if we were to be harsh (and just to be clear, we weren't; in fact, this group is one of the most OT-tolerant LUGs I've come across), one has no right to complain if the answers one seeks aren't to be found here. Especially not if the question is off topic. Reading "in at least some capacity do not use (nor particularly like) MS" does not in any way state mutual exclusivity, or total dislike of Windows. Now, if I used terms like M$ and Winblows, then you'd have grounds for complaint! We're a Linux User Group, what brings us together is basically that we in at least some capacity do not use (nor particularly like) MS products. Try finding a Windows Power User Group or similar. The LAN, remote network X and remote network Y. I connect to remote networks X and Y using two different routers and I'm able to reach both remote networks. I am however unable to reach the interface on the router connecting me to network Y. A ping to this interface returns reply from A.B.C.D TTL expired in transit A.B.C.D is a public IP address on the router connecting me to remote network Y None of my settings on the firewall have changed. The only variable is the addition of a redundant connection on that router and BGP, where the newly introduced link has been made the primary link. Any ideas on where the issue could be?
