There is already useful local content. URA quickly comes to mind with their electronic services portal. There's the newspapers and the many mushorooming real estate portals. To mention but a few! (OK I have not looked at their IP addresses but at least they have .ug domains) > What are we using the IXP for? The stats page appears offline but when I last glanced at it the numbers were promising. The trend suggested consistent growth in local traffic, and therefore content. The IXP exists to keep local traffic local. We are a smart, developing and growing nation. Local content will only but keep growing. eb _______________________________________________ The Uganda Linux User Group: http://linux.or.ug Send messages to this mailing list by addressing e-mails to: [email protected] Mailing list archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Mailing list settings: http://kym.net/mailman/listinfo/lug To unsubscribe: http://kym.net/mailman/options/lug The Uganda LUG mailing list is generously hosted by INFOCOM: http://www.infocom.co.ug/ The above comments and data are owned by whoever posted them (including attachments if any).
