Hi Dorothy, We are hosting some open data sets on http://data.ug For the hackathon it might be helpful for teams to have access to this & more agricultural datasets to have a starting point for the apps they want to build.
If you (and the other organisers) have access to more agricultural data, we'd be more than happy to link to it or host it on data.ug If you would like to know more, of course, you can use the list to discuss, or contact Ketty Adoch, who manages data.ug rgds, Reinier here's the 3 agricultural datasets we found so far http://data.ug/dataset?tags=Agriculture On Thursday 29 August 2013 08:52:15 Dorothy Okello wrote: > Date: Wed, 28 Aug 2013 15:48:55 GMT > From: Ken Lohento <[email protected]> > > > Call to East African hubs/labs to get involved in the Agri-Hack Championship > > From 4 to 8 November 2013, the Technical Center for Agricultural and > Rural Cooperation (CTA), the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal > Resources (MINAGRI), Rwanda, and other partners will organize an > international conference on ICT for Agriculture (ICT4Ag) in Kigali.
