Please book your seat now <https://goo.gl/jycy5I>. *It is free entrance* The focus will be - "*an introduction on how to build your open data > skills.*" This session will seek to review and look at the different stakeholder open data initiatives in the priority sectors of Health, education, agriculture, energy and infrastructure. We shall review several open data initiatives and how participants can get started accessing and analyzing the various datasets. *What shall we cover* - An assessment of the various open data platforms in Uganda - How to access and work with open data using simple tools like open refine, Web scraper and spreadsheets - An introduction to the open data PiMAA project at Outbox - An introduction the Up Accelerate program and the open data challenge *Who should attend* - Journalists - Statisticians and demographers working with CSOs or Government - Software developers/students interested in data analysis - Young entrepreneurs interested in working with open data for the Up Accelerate challenge Lastly, there is an opportunity for Open data enthusiasts to participate in our Up Accelerate program. We are seeking to support up-to four (4) young entrepreneurs addressing challenges in health using Open data with up-to $10,000 in seed funding, access to mentors, business and technical trainings.
