implementation, upgrade, or customization of Enterprise Resource Planning
systems. To help you manage the entire applications lifecycle, IT Convergence
offers customized training for every skill level-given on-site, in a
classroom, or remotely via the Internet. Our remote support services can
assist your company with all types of technical and functional needs.
We are looking to take on another UNIX Systems Administrator which will be
based in Argentina. The main job resonsibilities would be somewhat along
those of my own
* Experience in Commerical Operating Systems including, but not limited to;
Solaris, AIX and HPUX.
* Familiarity with Open Source Operating Systems, specifically RedHat
Enterprise Linux, other Linux distributions and FreeBSD.
* Ability to recover a number of these systems for different types of disater
on an OS and hardware levels.
* Use of backup systems both commerical (Omniback, Arcserve, veritas etc.) and
tradition UNIX (dump, tar, amanda etc).
* Knowlegde of Internet protocols such as ssh, smtp, http, dhcp, DNS, soft
firewalls etc.
* Solid basis and belief in secure services on an OS and Application levels.
* The ability to remotely work on any of these system, normally on console
based access.
* Track record of being able to locate and track down problems on the
formentioned systems
* Proven ability to fine tune UNIX and UNIX clone OS for better perfomance and
availbility
