Descripcion: Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain new platform system infrastructure.
* Provide support for large server environment maintaining system
standardization, security, software, and performance
* Act as a 24/7 on-call escalation point for any Level 5 Support
issues from Network Solutions Operations team.
* Build and assist in new customer migrations into the Netsol environment.
* Development of support and system administration tools to help
automate support tasks.
* Regularly determining new ways of improving existing environment
discovering ways to implement new technology into existing
infrastructure.
Experience Required:
The successful candidate will have the following knowledge and skills:
* Proficient Linux (all variants) skills, both operating system
and common third party applications.
* Shell scripting skills in at least 2 of: tcsh, sh, bash and Perl required.
* In-depth knowledge of the Linux kernel.
* Proficient with services such as HTTP (Apache), LDAP, DNS,
Qmail, NFS v2/v3, MySQL, Postgres.
* Exposure to Network Appliance Filers NFS/ISCSI and other remote
storage an asset.
* Familiarity with C development an asset.
* Server service and performance monitoring experience using any
of IBM Director, and/or SNMP Tools. Knowledge of key Linux system
performance bottlenecks and resolving performance issues.
* Proficient hardware knowledge of HP and/or IBM server technology an asset.
* Experience with automated deployment technologies, such as
Norton Ghost, jumpstart and PXE network booting.
* Adept knowledge of system security, locking down OS, user
permissions, patching servers, and staying up-to-date on all security
issues.
* Computer Science (or equivalent) degree
Lugar de Trabajo: Microcentro
Horario: Lunes a Viernes de 9 a 18hs
Modalidad: Posicion Efectiva bajo relacion de dependencia.
